Description
Pen-y-bont Cottages is a row of six 2-storey cottages located in the Corris Community. The cottages vary in form and width and are slightly angled at the center. The eastern pair, Nos 5 and 6, are slightly raised due to the rise in the land. They are constructed of stone and pebbledash, featuring painted margins around many window and door openings, as well as a painted plinth. The cottages generally have boarded doors and either casement or sash windows. The roofs are covered with slate and have red tile ridges, complemented by stone and blue-brick chimney stacks. There are low forecourt walls in front of the cottages.
One of the cottages is a single bay with a boarded door that has applied cover strips on the left side. It has 2-light windows on both the ground and first floors, and the front displays applied timber framing.
