Description
Foster Clough is a row of six cottages built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from dressed stone and feature a stone slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high, with each unit consisting of a single cell. Each cottage has a doorway with monolithic jambs located to the left of a flat-faced mullioned window. The ground floor windows have three lights, while the first-floor windows have four lights, both with slightly projecting sills. Additional architectural details include an eaves band, gutter brackets, quoins, and coped gables with kneelers. There are six stacks along the ridge. Some of the cottages have modern flat-roofed dormers that are not in keeping with the original design.
