Description

This small barn, dating from around 1715, is likely contemporary with Stoney Royd Farmhouse. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a square-headed cart entry with composite jambs and a heavy monolithic lintel. To the right, there is a mistal doorway with monolithic jambs, which has been blocked. Above this doorway is an earlier lintel that has a chamfer. The left-hand return wall has a coped gable with kneelers. This barn is listed for its group value with the nearby farmhouse.
