Description

Owls Clough is a pair of cottages that have been combined into one dwelling, dating from 1826. The building is constructed from hammer dressed stone and features a stone slate roof. It stands two storeys high and consists of two cells, each with a doorway that has tie stone jambs; the doorway on the right has been blocked to create a window. Each cell has a four-light flat faced mullioned window with a projecting sill, and there is a five-light window above on the first floor. The building includes quoins, gutter brackets, and a coped gable with kneelers. The right-hand return wall features an arched light that retains its original headed lights, with the lintel inscribed "Anno Domini 1826".
