Description
Pen-y-bont Cottages is a row of six two-storey cottages located in the Corris Community. The cottages vary in form and width and are slightly angled at the center. The eastern pair, Nos 5 and 6, are positioned higher up the slope of the land and may be older than the others. The cottages are constructed of stone and pebbledash, featuring painted margins around many window and door openings, as well as a painted plinth. They generally have boarded doors and either casement or sash windows. The roofs are slate with red tile ridges, and there are stone and blue-brick chimney stacks. The cottages also have low forecourt walls.
No 5 is a single bay with its entrance on the right, sharing a wide opening with No 6. The door has a stop-chamfered frame. The windows on both the ground and first floors of No 5 are modern timber casements, and it has a blue-brick stack.
