Description
Dovey Cottage, located within the row of six cottages known as Pen-y-bont Cottages in Corris Community, is a 2-storey building that features a variety of forms and widths, with a slight angle at the center. The eastern pair, Nos 5 and 6, are slightly elevated due to the rise in the land. The cottages are constructed of stone and pebbledash, with painted margins around many of the window and door openings, as well as a painted plinth. The doors are generally boarded, and the windows are either casement or sash. The roofs are slate with red tile ridges, complemented by stone and blue-brick chimney stacks, and there are low forecourt walls.
Dovey Cottage itself has a single bay, featuring a modern studded stable-type door on the right side, along with timber windows that have applied diamond lattice leads. The door and window openings on the ground floor are adorned with small raised key stones, while the first-floor window is positioned above the eaves and has a gabled design.
