Description
Pont-ar-Dyfi is a 5-arch bridge built from rubble, featuring a gentle ramp. It has round arches that include arch rings, voussoirs, and a stringcourse above. Between each arch, there are thin pilaster buttresses and very low pointed cutwaters. The bridge has a simple parapet with end piers at the eastern end. At the western end, modern reinforcements have been added, cutting across the end arches on both sides to create a gentler curve for the main road. The parapet walls extend north and south at the western end, with additional length on the southern side.
