Description

The fan house tower at the former Ynyscedwen Mine is constructed from squared rubble stone with a top section made of yellow brick. The tower narrows internally, which is reflected on the southwest face by a series of five steps in the wall, each supported by a yellow brick cambered arch. Below the lowest arch, there is a small opening in the yellow brick wall featuring a flush relieving arch. The side walls are plain, and the lower stub walls extend slightly to the northeast, where the fan chamber was located.
