Description
78 Heol Giedd is part of a terraced row of cottages, numbered 74 to 82 Heol Giedd. These cottages are constructed from squared multi-coloured rubble stone, featuring shades of brown, purple, and grey, with grey stone voussoirs above the openings and painted stone sills. They have slate roofs with close eaves and five chimney stacks, four of which are rendered, while one between Nos 76 and 78 has been rebuilt in brick. The row consists of two storeys, with four double-fronted cottages and No 82, which is possibly a later addition, being smaller and having one window range to the left of its door. The rear of the cottages has outshuts.
The windows are cambered-headed horned sashes with six panes, though the centre pane of each sash is very narrow. No 78 features a plastic front door with an overlight and a 20th-century rebuilt red brick chimney stack at the right end, which it shares with No 76. The roofs are adorned with white terracotta ridge tiles. The property has not been inspected.
