Description

The chimney of the former Ynysgedwen Iron Works is a tapering square structure made of yellow brick, standing on a square base that features blank arched openings. The arches are adorned with convex moulding around their edges, and the right arch includes a stone date plaque inscribed with the year 1872. At the top, there is a moulded cornice made of brick, complemented by stone corner stones. The main shaft of the chimney has a raised band just below the raised coping. The total height of the chimney is approximately 70 feet.
