Description
12 Lamb & Flag Cottages, formerly known as the Lamb and Flag Inn, is a house with origins dating back to the late 18th century, though it has undergone significant alterations. The building features white-painted render and a slate roof with close eaves, along with rendered brick end stacks. It stands two storeys high and has a three-window front, showcasing late 20th century leaded hardwood windows.
On the ground floor, there are large casement windows on either side of a stuccoed enclosed porch, which has a 20th-century door to the left and a 20th-century window at the front. A half-glazed door is located within the porch. The first floor includes one window on the left and two smaller windows in the centre and to the right, all featuring hinged top-lights. The ground floor windows have tooled stone sills, while the first floor windows do not have sills. The building has a raised plinth.
To the rear right, there is a long rubble stone wing with a brick ridge stack, while the rear left has a parallel range that extends along the back of No. 14, featuring one window with a hipped roof at the junction with the northeast range and a chimney on the side wall. The property has not been inspected.
