Description

Highgate Farmhouse is a two-storey building constructed of coursed rubble stone, with the west elevation rendered. It features a slate roof that includes modern roof lights and blue brick stacks at both ends. The windows are all new, and there are modern boarded doors beneath cambered voussoir heads. The end gables display remnants of hood moulds over the upper windows.

Inside, the farmhouse boasts a good quality interior that retains all the original timber-framed partition panels, large scroll-stopped beams, and a chamfered and stopped door frame on the first floor. The floors are stone flagged, and some boarded doors are present.
