Description

Well Cottage is a two-storey building with a roughcast front featuring two windows. It is set forward from the recessed bay at the rear of Well House. The cottage has a slate roof and a brick stack on the rubble gable end. The first floor has horizontal sliding sashes, while the ground floor features double hung sashes with glazing bars. The doorway is recessed under an arched opening and has a six-panel door within a reeded surround. To the right, there is a tall rubble wall with outbuildings behind it.

At the rear, there is a two-storey timber-framed cross wing, which can be seen from Broad Street over the garden. This section also has a slate roof and a gable end stack made of rubble and brick with set-offs. The walls are roughcast with timber studding, and there are later casement windows.
