Description
A large lofted L-plan multi-purpose farm building comprising mainly former stables, cart shed and granary, of brick with slate roof. Most openings are under segmental heads. The shorter NW-SE range is earlier. It has, on the R side, a former cart shed with 2 pairs of boarded double doors under a timber lintel and brick relieving arch, with two 2-light windows in the loft. In the gable end are external steps to a granary door. Further L are former stables with 2 windows and 2 boarded doors, the L-hand larger, above which is a single former pitching eye now glazed.
The longer SW-NE front is later and of slightly redder brickwork than the NW-SE range. It has a single boarded door at the R end, then 2 ventilation strips, larger double doors, 2 windows, a door and a window. Further L are 2 split doors with a window between. The loft has pitching eyes to the centre and R end, with loading door between them. The L side of the loft has 2 tiers of ventilation strips. Two similar vents are beneath the R-hand pitching eye. In the L gable end is a pitching eye, stepped ventilation strips and 2-light window lower R. Behind are a lean-to and a larger extension.
Behind the NW-SE range are, to the L, 4 segmental-headed loft openings, now glazed, and a pitching eye further R. Below on the R side are 2 segmental-headed windows.
