Description
This is a lofted farm building at Halghton Lodge, constructed from hand-moulded brick with a slate roof. The openings feature segmental heads, and on the farmyard side, they are made from machine-moulded brick, with wood-framed windows and boarded doors. Starting from the left end, the arrangement includes a window, a door, another window, two doors, a window, two doors, a steel-framed window replacing a narrower segmental-headed opening, and finally a door and window at the right end. The loft has three diamond breathers, a central loft door, and a loft window with a vent on the left end.
On the right (north) gable end, there is an inserted doorway and an infilled pitching eye. The west roadside elevation also has segmental-headed openings with wood-framed windows and boarded doors. From the left end, this elevation features a window, a door, three windows in original openings, and a replacement sliding door. The loft includes four boarded loading doors and three diamond-pattern breathers. Further to the right is a full-height joint, beyond which the wall is constructed from later, larger bricks. This section contains a window and a loading door. The south gable end has a sliding door. The building has not been inspected.
