Description
This is a multi-purpose farm building located on the west side of the farmyard at Ty'n y Wern. It is a long lofted structure made of white-washed brick, sitting on a high rubble stone base, and covered by a slate roof. The left-hand bay is primarily constructed from rubble stone, with some brick near the eaves. Architectural details include segmental brick arches above the openings and rows of diamond-shaped ventilation panels.
There are boarded doors in the center and to the right, with a two-light window located between them and another window to the left. Most of the windows are casements featuring horizontal glazing bars. A loft hatch is situated at the left end of the brick section, next to the left window, which was originally a door. The stone bay includes a tall wooden casement window with horizontal glazing bars, positioned under a gabled half-dormer, along with a ventilation slit to the left. To the far left, there is a boarded door with a latticed loft hatch directly above it.
The south gable end features a loft hatch opening, while the north gable end has breather panels. The ground slopes down at the rear, revealing a higher stone plinth. The rear elevation, from left to right, consists of a loft hatch, a boarded door, a two-light window, another loft hatch beneath a gabled half-dormer, a loft-level window, and a partially blocked door at the right end. The interior has not been inspected.
