The Fields is a two-storey house featuring a square-panelled box-frame construction, topped with a slate roof and fitted with casement windows. The frame includes brick-nogging, and there is a large exposed brick chimney on the south elevation. To the north, there is a two-storey brick extension. The interior was not accessible during the inspection, but it has been previously noted to have beamed ceilings and a roof truss.
