Description
The Bank Antiques is a two-storey building constructed in a box frame style with brick nogged square panels set on a brick and rubble plinth. It features a steeply pitched slate roof with plain eaves. The base is made of rubble, and there is a later brick projecting, stepped end chimney with a truncated stack.
On the first floor, there are a pair of shallow two-light casement windows located under the eaves. The ground floor to the right has a small 20-paned bowed oriel window supported by brackets. The entrance features an early 19th-century doorcase with a gabled hood on brackets and a plank door. Inside, there is a brick staircase with stone treads. The gable end has a three-light window, while the rear elevation includes two windows: a small-paned early 19th-century fixed light on the first floor and Victorian sash windows on the ground floor, both with moulded wooden architraves.
The interior includes axial chamfered beams, a 19th-century staircase, and a late 19th-century cast iron range.
