Description
Bridge Cottages, Hurdle View, is a single-storey and attic box-framed dwelling dating from the 18th century. It features whitened brick nogging and has a central brick chimney stack. The roof is covered with corrugated metal sheets over thatch. The front of the building has two 2-light casement windows and a small window added to the right end, with another casement window located at the north end gable. There are modern doors at the front, opposite the chimney stack, and at the extreme left end.
Inside the left-hand cottage, there is a heavy chamfered axial beam in the single ground floor room. The fireplace and winding stair were constructed around 1950. The attic bedroom has exposed heavy purlins. The right-hand cottage is reported to have been recently refurbished.
