Description
Gelli Farm features an L-shaped farm building that is timber-framed with brick nogging and covered by corrugated iron roofs. The barn, which runs roughly north to south, has a threshing-bay doorway on the east side facing the yard. To the left of the barn is the shippon wing, which has three north-facing doorways positioned closely together. The right-hand doorway retains a split boarded door, while the central doorway has been converted into a window. There is a wide entrance in the east gable end, likely intended for an implement store, which has a weatherboarded gable. On the left (south) side, the shippon features added lean-tos, and the gable end of the barn is open, with corrugated iron in the gable. The barn also has two rear doorways that do not align with the threshing bay.
Inside, the barn has a three-bay roof, with the central bay supported by a wall post on a dwarf wall adjacent to the threshing bay. The roof features trusses with raking struts, and the threshing bay has a tiled floor.
