Description

Sarn Bridge is a coursed stone bridge built in 1627, featuring two segmental arches and stone-slab parapets along the road, which are set on a stone band. On the downstream side, there is a triangular sectioned cutwater. The cutwater includes inscriptions that state "John and David Smith, freemasons of this Bridge, AD 1627, restored 1925" and also notes the work carried out in 1819 by the Flintshire County Surveyor, Jonathan Turner.
