Description

The War Memorial, built between 1921 and 1922 through public donations, is made of red sandstone ashlar and features bronze inscription plates. It consists of a short pylon that stands on a chamfered base, which is elevated on a stepped plinth. The pylon is adorned with a low relief laurel wreath emblem and a laurel-leaf frieze, with the inscription plates mounted on the base.
