Description

The War Memorial is an ashlar pylon elevated on steps, featuring an inscription on the front face. Bronze inscription plates have been added to the sides to commemorate the names of those who died in the Second World War. Atop the pylon stands a bronze figure of a soldier, which is signed and dated by the artist John Cassidy, 1922. The pylon is flanked by cast iron lamp standards on either side.
