Description
The structure consists of a wall with two former outbuildings, dating from the 19th century. The wall is made of brick and features two distinctive bands of headers, divided by pilasters that have moulded caps and raking finials. There is a curved brick plinth above a dentilled cornice. The two buildings are symmetrically designed and appear to be built integrally with the wall. They are single storey, with gables facing the street. Both buildings are also constructed of brick, with the gable wall of the butcher’s shop on the left rendered. They have red plain tiled roofs and exhibit elaborate gable treatments, including moulded kneelers at the copings and squat finials at the apex. These architectural details resemble those found on Gwydyr House, indicating that the buildings were likely constructed to serve it. While most openings have been renewed, an oculus remains in the apex of the right-hand building.
