Description

Barton's Bridge is a 19th-century bridge made of coursed and dressed sandstone. It features a single, round-headed arch supported by rusticated voussoirs. The bridge is flanked by notably tall and battered abutments that are stepped at the top, with a string course running above them. The original railings have been removed, leaving slightly undulating coped parapets that end in trapezoidal piers. The parapet on the downstream side curves out at both ends.
