Description

Gwalia is a brick building with a slate roof, dating from the early 19th century. It is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window front. The central entrance is framed by a hood, and features a six-panelled door. The windows to either side are paired sash windows with small panes of glass and margin lights, likely inserted in the early 19th century. The upper windows are also sash windows with margin lights, set into original window openings. A coved plaster cornice runs along the eaves. The rear elevation displays remnants of three original windows with mullions and a transom, now set within wider openings with arched brick heads. These windows are largely blocked, and one is cut through by a rear wing added in the early 19th century. Brick stacks are located at the ends of the building.
