Description
The gate piers to the cemetery are made of ashlar stone and are accompanied by a rusticated stone plinth wall. They feature cast iron gates and railings. The main gates have pedestrian gates on each side, along with quadrant flanking railings that include terminal piers. The outer piers have recessed panels and sloping copings, decorated with trefoiled spandrels. The gate piers are similar in design but include trefoiled panels. The cast iron railings are adorned with trefoiled heads and quatrefoil bands at both the top and bottom. There is a simpler terminal pier at the angle with Empress Road, along with intermittent stone piers and plain railings that have scrolled panels, set at intervals along the boundary of Empress Road.
