Description
The cemetery chapels are built from random rock-faced rubble with ashlar dressings and feature a banded slate roof topped with terracotta cresting. The central archway is adorned with a tower and spire above, flanked by symmetrical chapels. The heavily moulded archway in the gable is set against the base of the tower, which is supported by clasping buttresses and has paired Early English bell chamber lights. The tower is topped with a heavy broach spire that includes two pierced quatrefoil bands and cross finials. Each of the flanking chapels features a three-light east (liturgical) window with geometrical tracery. The structure consists of three bays, divided by buttresses, each containing a foiled single light window. Small vestries project from the inner sides, each with paired windows facing east.
