Description
The gates to the cemetery are made of ashlar gate piers and a rusticated stone plinth wall, featuring cast iron gates and railings. The main gates are flanked by pedestrian gates on either side, with quadrant railings and terminal piers. The outer piers have recessed panels and raking copings, adorned with trefoiled spandrels. The gate piers are similar in design but include trefoiled panels. The cast iron railings are decorated with trefoiled heads and quatrefoil bands at the top and bottom. There is a simpler terminal pier at the angle with Empress Road, along with intermittent stone piers and plain railings featuring scrolled panels set at intervals along the Empress Road boundary.
