Rock Cottage

Rock Cottage is a two-storey building featuring lined-out render and a hipped slate roof, with brick axial stacks. It has a three-window range and paired rear wings. The central entrance includes a partly glazed door beneath a new canopy hood. The flanking windows are floor-length small-paned sashes with shallow hoods, while the upper windows are 16-pane sashes with slight architraves and continuous sill-bands. Similar windows are found on each floor in the return elevations. The building has a plain eaves band and moulded cast-iron guttering, along with some small-paned cast-iron windows at the rear.

Inside, the central entrance leads to a stair hall featuring steeply curved stairs with thin spindles and a swept rail, along with moulded tread-ends. The principal rooms on either side are adorned with marble chimney pieces and plaster friezes and cornices, showcasing acanthus motifs and vinescroll designs, as well as panelled shutters on the windows.
