Description

At the rear of the Leyland Public House is a two-storey L-shaped complex of domestic and agricultural buildings, which became connected to the Public House around 1965 by a low brickwork link.

Closest to the Public House is a five-window domestic section with uneven outer gables, the right gable being larger. This part is constructed from rubble slatey stone and topped with a slate roof. It features a central doorway, lattice-glazed casement windows (some of which have been replaced), and two square stone chimneys. The windows on the right (north) gable have brickwork jambs. The left bay includes a store that is accessed by external stairs. The outer gables are also visible on the rear (west) elevation, where the southern gable is more prominent. Additionally, there is a new porch at the rear. This section has a vernacular character, although it includes details typical of estate work, and is a remodelling of earlier farm buildings known as Ty'n-llan.

Connected at right angles to the domestic section is a long agricultural range, linked by a short inserted passage. This range has a roof with two levels covered in corrugated sheeting and is built from rubble masonry. It includes a door, a window, two cartshed openings, and a loft door with stairs in the eastern unit, while the western unit has four doors and two loft hatches. Much of the eastern unit is clad in corrugated sheeting. Stepped down and set back to the left at right angles is a converted single-storey outbuilding.
