Description

The Village School and Master's House is a historic building featuring a former master's house on the left and a schoolroom on the right. The master's house is two storeys high with two windows, constructed from irregular slatey masonry with limestone blocks incorporated lower in the walls and in the arches of the windows and doors. It has a slate roof topped with a tile ridge, and timber bargeboards. The windows have been renewed in timber. There is a door on the left with a small casement window above it. The right side of the house is gabled and slightly set forward, featuring timber windows with mullions and transoms. A red brick lateral chimney is located on the right where the schoolroom connects.

The schoolroom, situated on the right, is built from limestone masonry at the front and slate masonry on the side gable. It also has a slate roof with a tile ridge. This section has a symmetrical front, showcasing two large mullion and transom windows with small panes, which are separated by a later porch designed in mock half-timbering, resting on a red brick plinth. The front eaves are present, and there is a roof ventilator located near the center of the ridge. Additionally, there is a large rear extension made of brickwork.
