Description
The Lofted Shed and Cowhouse at Ty'n Llanfair are two farm buildings constructed from local rubble limestone, featuring slate roofs with tile ridges. They are connected corner to corner, creating an irregular range that forms the north-west side of the Ty'n Llanfair farmyard. The buildings are set into a slope at the rear. Within the farmyard, there are modern sheds and lean-tos.
The shed closer to the farmhouse includes a cart-opening in the south-west gable, along with two hatches at the front and rear, and a door at the rear. The other shed has a door in the south-west gable, a window in the opposite gable, and a hatch in the rear wall. Each building consists of two bays and features vernacular queen-strut trusses, with both having lofts.
