Farmyard buildings on the NW side of the farmyard at Ty'n y Cornel

The farmyard buildings on the northwest side of the farmyard at Ty'n y Cornel consist of three units arranged in a line, with the northeastern building slightly elevated.

The central building, which is the earlier barn, features two bays, constructed with rubble walls and topped with an old slate roof. The opening facing the yard has been enlarged and now has a concrete lintel, along with a small semi-dormer on the left side that provides light to a loft floor.

The lower building, serving as a cowhouse, is built in a similar style and is likely of the same period. It includes a stable-type door with a two-pane overlight, and an iron tie has been added for support.

The upper building, which may be contemporary or slightly later, is situated on rising ground, resulting in both the floor and roof being slightly elevated. This building was likely used for preparing and storing feed and for general farm purposes. It features a boarded door with an overlight at the lower end, while the rest of the front is covered by an open-fronted structure that forms the northeast side of the farmyard. A small chimney stack is located at the southern end, and steps at the northeast end lead up to the house terrace.
