Description
Pen-y-Bedw Cottage is a Grade II listed building featuring a main house with a symmetrical roughcast front that is two storeys high and has two windows. It includes a plinth and rusticated quoins, with gables above the first-floor windows. The roof is slate with overhanging eaves, and there are red brick chimney stacks on the projecting end chimney breasts.
The cottage, also two storeys and with two windows, has a painted roughcast front without applied detail and a gable over the left-hand first-floor window. It has a slate roof and a chimney stack positioned at an angle to the left end. The windows are 16-pane sashes that are virtually flush with the frame and feature wide timber architraves. The central doorcase has a bracket pediment, a four-pane overlight, and modern doors. The cottage includes a small sash window above a four-panel door and has a single-storey extension to the left.
The property retains a rubble front garden wall with an iron gate. The rear of the building has a similar treatment, featuring French windows on the main house and modern windows on the cottage.
