Description
Pen-y-Bedw is a two-storey house with a symmetrical roughcast front featuring two windows, a plinth, and rusticated quoins. The gables are positioned above the first-floor windows. It has a slate roof with overhanging eaves and red brick chimney stacks on the projecting end chimney breasts. Attached to the main house is a two-storey cottage that also has a two-window painted roughcast front without applied detail, with a gable over the left-hand first-floor window. The cottage has a slate roof and a chimney stack angled to the left end. Both buildings feature 16-pane sash windows that are nearly flush with the frame and have wide timber architraves. The main entrance has a central doorcase with a bracketed pediment, a four-pane overlight, and modern doors. The cottage includes a small sash window above a four-panel door and has a single-storey extension to the left. The cottage retains a rubble front garden wall with an iron gate. The rear of the property has a similar design, with French windows in the main house and modern windows in the cottage.
