Description

The Melting Shed at Gwasg Gee is a small, single-storey rectangular building constructed from limestone rubble. It features a partly pitched slate roof and a squat brick chimney located at the rear gable. The southeast roof pitch has slate covering and includes a long glazed skylight, while the northwest pitch has been replaced with corrugated iron. The front gable contains a boarded door set in a pegged, chamfered wooden frame. During the survey, the building was noted to be somewhat overgrown.

Inside, there is a slate-flagged floor. At the rear of the shed, there is a cylindrical iron furnace with a stovepipe that connects to an inwardly-projecting chimney breast.
