Description

Ffynnon Sara is a shallow stone-lined bath measuring approximately 4.3 by 2.4 metres. It is set into the ground, except at one end where the water overflows over a low sill into the adjacent stream. At the opposite end, there is a short flight of stone steps leading from a small paved area surrounded by a kerb. Water enters the bath at a concealed point, and it would be about 0.3 metres deep when full to the overflow level. Although the well has been restored, it retains the characteristics described in earlier accounts.
