Description

Nant Morfydd is a small two-storey farmhouse with three windows, symmetrically fronted and facing its farm buildings across the lane. To the left, there is an extension under the same roofline, which has irregular window placements. The main part of the house features horned sash windows and a brick porch. Inside, the original 18th-century main door is particularly noteworthy; it is boarded and counterboarded in oak, displaying a regular pattern of clenched nails, with the carpenter's scorelines still visible. This door has a moulded frame and wrought iron hinges with fleur de lys terminations. The extension has two small upper windows and two doors along with a window below. The exterior is rendered and whitened, topped with a slate roof and featuring one mid-chimney and two end-chimneys made of yellow brick.

To the left, there is a shed and granary, also rendered and with a slate roof. The granary has two square openings above with lattice infill, and its door is located in the gable end, accessible by a flight of stone steps. At the front, there is a cart entrance with an elliptical stone arch, along with a stable door and window that have segmental arches.

The farmhouse has a symmetrical plan with a central entrance lobby and stairs. The stairs feature splat balusters, and there is a plain plank door beneath the stairs with hinges similar to those on the front door. The main room on the left includes a chamfered cross beam, while the rear wall is timber framed, though this is partially concealed. The extended domestic area to the left is accessed by a short flight of stone steps and contains features of a former large kitchen, although the cast iron kitchen range has been removed.
