Description
No. 1, also known as Sylvan, is a two-storey building with a three-window front, constructed with painted roughcast and topped with a slate roof. It features wide boarded eaves and a central red brick chimney stack, which indicates a lobby-entry plan for No. 1. The front of No. 1 has two windows on the ground floor with almost flush frame 16-pane sashes, while the first floor has small pane casements, likely added in the later 19th century. No. 2 has one window on the ground floor and two on the first floor, with the first floor windows recessed and fitted with louvred shutters. The entrance to No. 1 is marked by an off-centre bracket pedimented doorcase that contains six-panel double doors. No. 2 has a modern splayed bay window and a modern glazed door positioned to the far right. At the rear of No. 2, there is a higher cross range.
