Description
9 Chapel Street is a three-storey building with a two-window roughcast front. It features applied details such as a plinth, rusticated quoins, and cill bands. The roof is late, and there are red brick chimney stacks. No 7 has sash windows, while No 9 has small pane pivot windows. No 7 also includes simple architraves, keystones, and bracket cills.
The shop front of No 7 has two sections with three-light windows on either side of a central entrance, topped with an overall cornice that has modern canopies and a shop sign with an iron bracket. No 9 has a smaller shop front with pilasters, a dentil cornice, and a three-light window flanked by half-glazed modern doors. There is also a four-pane sash window to the right.
The rear of the building is made of rubble and has deep lean-tos.
