Rhydorddwy Goch Farmhouse

Rhydorddwy Goch Farmhouse is a two-storey building that appears to be a single unit or a small two-unit plan. Few original features are visible, and the doorway and windows in the gable wall seem to have been added later. Inside, curved principal roof trusses can be seen. At the rear, there is a secondary phase that likely represents an extension or rebuilding from the mid-18th century. This part is constructed of brick, with some stone in the lower storey, and features stone coped gables with moulded kneelers. The doorway and windows here are also later insertions, and there is a massive end-wall stack. To the west, there is another two-storey extension with a three-window range, end wall, and axial stacks, facing north. The rear wall of this extension has partially collapsed, and a possible further extension to the south has been demolished. To the east, an early 19th-century extension appears to have functioned as a separate dwelling. This extension is made of brick, slate-hung to the south, and rendered to the north, and it has two storeys with a two-unit plan, facing south, featuring a central doorway and blocked flanking windows.
