Description
The Mary Short Memorial Drinking Fountain is a structure featuring polygonal piers at both ends, topped with a stepped parapet. A tablet is set into broad foliage with a trailing border, inscribed with biblical messages. In the center, there is a lion's head that serves as the fountain spout, which originally had a chain and a cup that is now missing. The fountain also includes a low basin with a trefoil scalloped design.
