Fountain to SW of St. Peter's church

The fountain located southwest of St. Peter's Church is a four-sided structure made of intricately carved stone in a Celtic style, set on a base of three stone steps. Each side features a trefoil-headed arch, defined by cable moulding, with capitals and square piers that have plinths adorned with interlace panels on all four sides. Above each arch is a panel decorated with Celtic interlace motifs, topped by a shallow half-hipped gable that has a heavy foliage boss at its base and is enhanced with a fishscale pattern. This gable connects to a short square-topped spirelet that ends in cable moulding. Each arcade contains a semi-circular basin, and together the four basins form a quatrefoil shape. The deep, splayed bases of the piers, which are also enriched with interlace, rise from a plain chamfered base. Two of the basins bear inscriptions that read 'Heb Dduw Heb Ddim' and 'Duw a Digon'.
