Description
28 Church Street is a Grade II listed building, part of a group of early 19th-century, late Georgian structures. It features three stories and a basement with a one-window roughcast front, a plinth, and slate roofs. The front of No 28 includes decorative details such as reeded pilasters, cill bands, and 'S' shaped brace-plates. It also has bracketed eaves and cills, as well as architraves that are shouldered at the first and ground floors, complete with keystones. The windows throughout No 28 are modern small pane designs, except for the basement, which has plain basement windows. Nos 30 and 32 have camber-headed windows, with modern windows on the first and second floors of No 30, while the rest are small pane sash windows. The doors to Nos 28 and 30 are six-panel designs, while No 32 features a modern glazed door. All doors retain their Georgian doorcases, arched entries, cornices, and reeded pilasters, with Gothick fanlights present on Nos 28 and 30.
