Description
2 Love Lane is a two-storey timber-framed house dating from the 18th century. The ground floor is constructed of rendered rubble, while the rear features a gabled bay. The house has a renewed slate roof, which includes pierced decorative bargeboards on the main front-facing gable and a slab-coped and kneelered gable parapet at the rear.
On the front elevation, there is a modern 16-pane sash window on the ground floor and a 12-pane modern wooden casement window on the timber-framed first floor above. The first floor is box-framed, supported by curved braces that hold a tie beam, with a plain collar above. The side elevation facing Swine Market displays small-frame timbering on the upper floor. There is a modern 12-pane sash window to the left and a modern part-glazed door to the right. Further to the right, in the advanced rendered bay, there is a modern 12-pane casement window, along with two 4-light casements on the first floor.
The interior was not inspected during the survey.
