Description
Gem Newsagents is a low two-storey corner building with an elevation angled in three planes. It features rendered brick construction and a shallow-pitched, hipped slate roof. The central part of the facade includes a late 19th-century shop front with a corbelled and dentilated cornice and panelled pilasters. The entrance is located to the left and has a part-glazed door. The right-hand section has a plain 20th-century shop front with a part-glazed entrance to the right. On the upper floor, there are 19th-century twelve-pane unhorned sash windows, one located above each shop front, with a small blind recess to the left. The ground floor has a plain modern shop interior.
