Description
16 Bull Lane is part of an early 19th-century terrace consisting of three two-storey cottages. The cottages are primarily constructed from limestone rubble, with some brick, likely sourced from the nearby ruins of the castle or Leicester's Church. They feature a continuous slate roof adorned with three plain brick chimneys, although number 15 has a modern skylight on the front roof pitch.
Each cottage has an entrance that includes an open wooden pediment supported by thin engaged columns. The original doors are six-panel designs with three-pane rectangular overlights. To the left of each entrance, there is a 12-pane sash window, while above, on the first floor, there is a 9-pane sash window (the windows in number 14 have been replaced with modern versions). The windows in number 16 have been replaced with top-hung casements, and there are two additional 9-pane sashes located on the first-floor gable end of number 16. This terrace is recognized as part of a group of three.
