Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century terrace of three cottages located on Princess Road in Malton. The cottages are built of coursed rubble sandstone with brick and stone steps, and have pantile roofs with coped gables and shaped kneelers. The chimneys are made of brick and sit on the ridge. The front of the terrace has a three-window facade. Each cottage has a six-panel door recessed within a plain pilaster and cornice doorcase. To the right of each door is an unequal 25-pane sash window on the ground floor. The first-floor windows are 16-pane sashes. All windows have painted stone sills, and the ground-floor windows are finished with lead flashing above the lintels. The rear of the cottages features 2x12-pane sliding sash windows.
