Description

Nos 14-16 Bull Lane form an early 19th century terrace of three two-storey cottages. The construction is mainly limestone rubble with some brick, likely using stone from nearby ruins. The cottages have a continuous slate roof and three plain brick chimneys, although number 15 has a modern skylight in the front roof. Each cottage features an entrance with an open wooden pediment supported by thin engaged columns, with original six-panel doors and three-pane rectangular overlights. A 12-pane sash window is situated to the left of the entrance on each unit. The first floor features a nine-pane sash window above, although those at number 14 are modern replacements. The windows at number 16 have been replaced with top-hung casements, and two further nine-pane sashes are visible in the gable end of number 16. The cottages belong to a group of three.
